I was at Anime News Nework and they said that Viz is going to start publishing Dr. Slump sometime next year. Maybe Funi will follow and do the anime as well. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I read that too. I knew about Hunter x Hunter, but Fullmetal was another unwelcome surprise...

I'm a huge fan of the manga. It's one of the best comedy manga I've ever had the pleasure of reading.^^ It's great if VIZ really does publish it over here, though I don't know what kind of an audience it will get. As for the anime, it may, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm cynical about how well the manga will do, so I would worry about the anime once we see what happens with that first.

Think you've got the wrong idea, actually... unwelcome because I don't like Viz and I don't like losing online reading privileges.
