Hey all, Im just wondering if anyone knows how to increase the size of an image without making it pixellated, in case you want to know I'd like to take DVD ripped images and make backgroiunds for my laptop but it doesnt make them big enough to do so - any suggestions on either how to depixelize enlarged images or how to get a desktop sized image off a DVD with Power DVD

Tee hee...
Yeah, you can get those results just by enlarging it with Photoshop... I would think most programs can do it well.

I have Paint Shop Pro 7, but if I just flat out increase size it gets pixellated, I remember a friend once told me how to de pixelize an enlarged image but it wasnt very detailed.

I would suggest using Fireworks, much nicer and easier to use program.
First things first, in fireworks (dun know photoshop so it may have a way to do this), increase the dpi to a REALLY high number, i know this would make the file large but it should work, then stretc your picture, this should reduce any pixelation. Though enlarging any picture will pixelate it some what as you making each pixel increase in size, so my advice make the picture your stretching as big as possible, though that said, so programs compensate in different way like adding extra pixels of simular colour to reduce how noticable, so just try different programs aswell.
