Ugh, hi guys. I know I don't post here often but what the hell. Anywho, for the past week or so I've been having difficulty breathing, so I went to the doctor, and he said I have asthma. At least I think he said I did. Either way he said my lungs were inflamed or something and he gave me an inhaler. So that sucks. Yeah.

Well, Pinhead, as a person who has been diagnosed with asthma since she was 12, I know how you feel. It's important though that you take your asthma seriously in that it's the sort of disease where having just a cold can turn into bronchitis or pneumonia if you aren't careful. As time goes on, you'll get to know you're own body too. So remember you know how you feel better than anybody so don't let a doctor walk all over you, but at the same time, accept their advice and help. I know what I just said is confusing, but it's just this fine line you'll learn to walk with time.
And ya, basically what asthma is, is the tubes in your lungs become inflamed and fill with kind of a mucusy substance and that's what blocks them, so you can't breathe well. An asthma attack is a pretty unique feeling. Asthmatics usually describe it as like have a vice tightening around your chest or a heavey weight on it. Oh and it's actually better for an asthmatic to exercise and stay in shape, then to lay around and not do any. It strengthens the lungs and keeps them in better shape. As long as you don't push yourself too hard and stop if you feel an attack coming. And any time you can't breathe, use that inhaler. That's what it's there for. Whenever you feel the need, use it.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.^^

Yeah, thanks Jersey. I'm actually out for the track team at my high school right now (though my lack of fast-ness will likely get me cut), but yeah, I've been trying to stay active. Actually, I've had both bronchitus and pneuomonia just within the past three or four years, so I originally thought my asthma was just one of those.
