Hey guys, I'm going to be attending Sakura Con in a few weeks, yet I cannot decide on what character to go as. I'm considering either going as Ranma, Kenshin, or Shadi from "Yu-Gi-Oh". My cousin thinks I should go as Balrog from Street Fighter. If you guys were in my situation, who would you choose?

Uhh, no. That's weird.
Kenshin is the coolest one, Shadi might be more original, but with cosplaying should you not have some sort of similarity to the character already?
Some cosplays are just weird because that person isn't built for such a character... but the problems can be anywhere. Right now I'd like to go as L from Death Note... I have everything except the hair, including exact clothes (he's got a nice, simple style). Second would be Kurapica from Hunter x Hunter, that's a rare cosplay...
Yeah, it's not about me. So finally my choice is probably Shadi, looking at your choices alone (in other words, without looking into the opinions of your cousin or others).

Don't worry about me as someone of the opposite gender (I would make such an ugly woman). Thanks for the feedback guys. At this point I'm down to just Kenshin or Shadi. With either choice I believe that I will stand out, with Shadi, being probably the only one as him, and with Kenshin, being probably one of the only 6'1'' African American guy dressed as him. Oh well, I still have a few weeks to decide. Also Ikue Ootani will be one of the guests.
