Hello, all! My name is johnboy1, and I come fresh from the (on-topic) DaizEX boards. It's weird knowing I can talk about something besides Dragon Ball... I think I forgot how to do that .
Anyway, I'm going to try and act official now, so bear with me:
Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen. I am John Wesley Averick II, self-appointed spokesperson of Joe Smiley Studios (I also act, if you could call it acting). What is Joe Smiley Studios? Well...
It was back during the Summer of 1998 when a young man by the name of Joseph Doolittle, lost in the boredom that is Meridian, Mississippi, gathered a couple of his friends together and made a short segment of a mindless little idea called "The Joe Smiley Show." The show soon lost popularity with the group, but the name and the concept of making films stuck. Over the next 6 years, the circle of friends continued to make "Joe Smiley Movies," as they called them.
As the years went on, the young director began to take his work more seriously. Then, during the Summer of 2004, the crew decided to make their objects of personal amusement public by launching the Joe Smiley Studios website. Sadly, most of the "vintage" Joe Smiley movies were either taped over or lost to the ravages of time (seriously, you wouldn't believe what five years in a dusty garage will do to a VHS), and those left over were either incomplete or so amateurish that it would turn people off to the site.
So, the group decided to start anew, even adding a new crew member (myself) to the roster. Given that I'm the biggest loudmouth of the group, I've made myself the official spokesman. So far, we have completed seven projects that have been released to the public. So, please, if anyone is interested, come see for yourself the works of dedicated amateur filmmakers. [Also, just so you'll know, it's all free! Joe Smiley Studios is a non-profit organization.]

Note: In my next post, I will provide quick overviews of the projects so far and the projects to come.
