Ugh, Shopro...the people who turned Rockman EXE into "Mega Man NT Warrior" Cyberswords into Cyberbatonds (they're flat edged in the dub) and went on to call minibombs mini"boomers"
Theres still a chance since Viz is merging but if Shopro gets its way with it, we are SO screwed.

I'd say tit could be worse if we had 4Kids Entertainment but I don't know just yet if thats true (well at lkeast then FUNimation could do an uncut release as it has for Yugioh and Shaman King).
Let us hope and pray to god they don't start any translation or dub work until after they merge with Viz so Viz can keep them in line, Shopro ALSO did Inuyasha for Viz which while initially had some voice issues by episode 6 they got the voices down.

I know nothing about Shopro (look at Mega Man NT as corny kid show and I don't follow the exe games anyways). As for Viz, Ranma and Inuyasha animes (of what I've seen) are good.

the rockman EXE anime was very good, its one of the few shows I've ever gotten into with fansubs, and shopro ruined it.

Sorry for the supposed necro-post but thought I'd post this news for rumored actors from this site: www.naruto-kun.com/There have been rumors circulating through out the forum and many sites about the voice actors for the English dubbed show coming to Cartoon Network late summer early fall. What has been circulating his that the voice actors will some following this type of chart, now this is still unconfirmed but here it is anyway, 1.Naruto-Johnny Yong Bosch ( Vash from trigun and the Green Power Ranger. 2.Sakura-Rachael Lillis ( Misty From Pokemon, eh least it wasn't a country sounding women like most of us thought.) 3. Kakashi-Steve Blum ( Spike From Cowboy Beebop and Mukato Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin. 4. Sasuke-Mark Hildreth ( Herro Yui from Gundam Wing, also the lead singer of the Mark Hildreth Band.) 5. Gaara-Eric Stuart ( Yu Gi Oh! Seto Kaiba & Brock From Pokemon Well from the looks of it only looks like 3 good voice actors being Bosch,Hildreth and Blum, the other 2 are from Poke'mon and their voice acting was horrible. Though I and others will have to wait and see, I don't see Eric Stuart as Gaara, though Mark Hildreth was SPOT on with Sasuke I know that much. We can only wait to see, but let us hope that they get David Hayes to do Itachi because he is the only person I feel will be able to pull this off. |

Nah I couldn't see David Kaye as Itachi, as Jiraiya perhaps. And I think Rachel Lillis and Eric Stuart are quite good VAs. They were fantastic in Slayers. But I agree that Stuart for Gaara doesn't work.
