Does anybody else LOVE Naruto's filler scenes? Their far and inbetween, unlike most filler for anime, and unlike most filler instead of being to anime as fluff cream is to pastries, Naruto's filler ALWAYS either A: adds to suspense only (w/o stretching a scene into 12 eps like a certain Kamehameha duel between SSJ Gohan and Cell), B: adds to plot development (minorly, but still), or C: adds to character development.
Thanks to the filler, I have a new appreciation of Haku, and whole new respect for the Sound Nin trio.

I enjoy the fillers in Naruto. A lot of times, I don't really think of them as filler, the scenes go so well with the series. So ya, I agree that they add more to the series than take anything away. Besides, who didn't enjoy Naruto teaching Konohamaru the fine points of "Sexy no Jutsu". ^_^ Hey, even that re-cap episode with Naruto's little trio of followers doing a school report was fun, and a cute premise for the re-cap.

Was all of that really filler? Hmm, I guess.
It's one of those few anime where I can say I enjoyed all of the filler at least somewhat. Hunter x Hunter is looking like it will be that way, too.

Well, not all of Naruto teaching Konohamaru the "Sexy no Jutsu" was filler, just parts of it, such as the bookstore and sneaking into the bathhouse.

That's just to stretch one chapter into one episode. It only would have been about 10 mins long, so they provided details as their filler.

There were quite a few instances where I was annoyed with Naruto filler (That school report bored the crap out of me), and I felt myself thoroughly bored during several dragged out fights. I agree most of it blends in pretty unnoticed, or adds something fun, but I can't say I enjoy all of it.
Also, I don't believe they can keep the unnoticed filler stuff up for much longer. The anime is quite steadily catching up to the manga (Well, they're not exactly close yet, but they'll get there), and before long they'll have to really pump up the amount of filler to keep up the pace. And stuff.

Using the manga system (because it would be too hard to calculate how many episodes the manga is ahead by), the anime is about 6 or 7 volumes behind. THAT'S A LOT.

A lot it may be, but that doesn't change the fact a catch-up unavoidable.

I love the Naruto filler. <_< Some of it cracked me up. The some of the "before title" recaps get annoying. I just fastfoward through them.
As for the recap, I basically ignored it. Recaps rarely interest me, unless they have material from an episode I missed, like how I watched the .hack//SIGN recap simply because most of the footage was from the previous ep, which I missed.
EDIT: Can anyone make a list of all the filler going up to ep 51?
Edit the Second: By the way, I did love that "behind the scenes" thing just before the recap, when they were freaking out over Naruto starting the show too early. Kakashi saying that he'll do a dance cracked me up.

That's pretty much it. There was a 2-second repeatish thingy of that where Naruto announced the second 1-hr special (eps 95+96 aired back to back), and since such a MAJOR arc ended with it, episode 97 debuted Naruto's first all-filler episode, which could easily have fit in the series. It really felt at home though, kind of like the rare enjoyable DBZ filler eps.

Oh, I think you misunderstood. ^^; I meant, like, filler scenes from episode-to-episode.
Naruto version of the Filler Guide, if you will.

Naruto doesn't have very much filler, it's way behind the manga, so they don't need it. Maybe one, two episodes at most between sagas.
There was probably some things near the beginning. Usually Konohamaru scenes are filler. There are no heavy spoilers. K = Konohamaru
•Hm. Start of anime to pre-Zabuza, there would have been something with K. •Filler pre-exam where Iruka (I think it was him) held K's gang hostage, or something... •The double episode before entering the second exam, K interviews people. •An episode where Naruto is late for the last exam, so he follows K's crappy shortcuts. •Episode 97 had a hot springs filler. No K at all!

.... This proves my theory. Every anime MUST have a hot spring ep.
... Bahahaha.
