Out of curiosity, does anyone here besides me own any version of Pokemon, and if so, how many do you have? I have Blue and Yellow versions, and will eventually get around to buying either Ruby or Sapphire. On Blue I have all of them except Mew, and on Yellow I have about 139.

I have Gold, Crystal, Yellow, and Blue. I HAD Red, but I don't know where that ended up. Oh yeah and I have Ruby, which i lent to my friend because I felt sorry for him because he has never been graced with its Poke-ness.

I had red and yellow along with two game boys. One was specially designed for yellow because it was...well..yellow with some Pokemon on it. It probably has been bought and sold at Howard's Pawn Shop by now...

I know. Losers selling me the N64 for some-expensive-price-that-I-forget! I heard later that my brother's friend got an N64, 2 controllers and a hell lot of games for 60 bucks and I had to pay that pawn shop that much! I never bought anything there again.

Sounds like Microplay. I remember selling my SNES+a shitload of games and getting like $80. He then turned around and sold each game for $40, and the system for $100.

Wow, that stinks Dayspring, you don't seem to have very good luck at all. *turns around and snickers* uhh, what? I didn't say anything.
heh, anyway. I got a regular NES for $40 but didn't buy any games, my friend lets me borrow his whenever I want to play one, and the same thing kinda for the Pokemon games. I beat his Red, Silver, and Blue versions after he was done, but I never bothered getting all the pokemon... just the ones that I liked.

But it's FUN to name RPG characters something stupid like that. I did that with Golden Sun too, thanks to that code that let's you name the others too. I do that with most RPGs that I can do that with after I beat them. Haven't beaten Pokemon yet but I have started over a few times...

I must be the only one here who has never named Ash or Gary something insulting. In Blue, I kept the default names of Ash and Gary. For Yellow, I used my real name instead of Ash. When I get Ruby or Sapphire, I'll probably keep it Brendan.

I don't usually change names, for trainers or for pokemon. I'm actually surprised I went with Dekar (a very cool warrior). I didn't even change Butz in FF5, and most people even renamed him just to save him some embarrassment. The PSX version of the game actually renamed him Bartz, probably for the same reason.

I didint name them anything funny or insulting, I kept Ash and Gary. I take my mission as a pokemon trainer seriously. *nods* That was my brother who made on a pimp and the other dickhead. Not witty, I must say for someone who is older than me. I would of thought of something better...uh..yah. I think its weird when other people I know re-name Link, even if its just they're own name. I always have him as Link, he is the hero of time and shall remain.
Yah..people like saying its just a video game..I kill them.

Ugh. I hate when people name Link "Zelda". One of the GB games even made the music different when you named him that. Ahh! Don't encourage them!!!
I'm okay with it if they're just doing some "FF7-esque name everybody Sephiroth" type of thing. They rarely are, though.
Speaking of which, everybody who has FF7: Play a game, and name everybody Sephiroth. Oh, the hilarity.

It takes alot of people awhile to figure out that Link is not Zelda. I guess its cause its the "Legend Of Zelda" even though shes not even there in Majora's Mask! She's no legend! Link is! It took me awhile to find out his first name. Heh, I remember a funny conversation with my brother...
Laura: Dave! Theres this new awesome game with all the people from Mario and other stuff, and even some Zelda characters!
Dave: Cool. Im Zelda
Laura: Im Link! Thats the main guy in Zelda
Dave: What? Hey, I called him first!
Laura: You said Zelda, thats the princess!
Dave: It is? Then why do they call it the Legend Of Zelda?
Laura: .....I dont know

Pokemon Red and Green are being remade here on either the GBA or a crappy Gamecube game (prolly GBA). Instead of it being a Gameboy graphics, it's got SNES graphics (which is why I guess GBA). The games are being called Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green. Sad.
