Anyone else here a big fan of Ico? Or anxious to hear something about Nico? (They're keeping a tight lid on Nico info...) I, for one, loved the game and can't wait for Nico. The story was awesome, the graphics were beyond gorgeous, and the game was fun, what more can you ask for? Sequel! ;D Hehe. Anyway, if you've never heard of the game you can go here and d/l the movies and gameplay footage. I think it's the entire game, start to finish. (How's that for a walkthrough? ) Sadly I no longer have my copy... little kids walking on game discs tend to break them. Now I need to find another copy of it, cheap....

Never heard of it. I watched a random video and it looked pretty cool. Uh, what system is this for?
Walking on game discs, eh? Arrg, reminds me of how my friend's little baby cousin would put discs on the floor on run with them... my copy of Melee was destroyed because of that. Grr... I witnessed her doing it to his Linkin Park CD, and he wasn't even stopping her. I'm never lending him a game again...
Shit! He still has Legend of Dragoon, too!

It's a PS2 game. Ever play the old Lucas Arts games? It's the same general premise really. Lots of puzzle solving with some 'beat up the shadow demons' thrown in here and there. Plus you need to lead Yorda (that's the girl) through the palace without her being captured... It's kind of odd really, that this game ranks as my number one favorite story wise. Odd because there are verry few cutscenes and the main chracter (Ico) and Yorda don't even know the same language so they can't talk to each other. (Even Yorda's subs are in a made up language). All releases of the game feature the same audio track (no dubbing, which is cool cause that would have ruined the feel) but the Jap and Euro versions have bonus stuff that we didn't get here. Anyway, back to the point about the story. Like I said there's little 'cutscene story progression'. The story is actually told through the game, the way the two need to rely on each other, Ico going back for Yorda when he could have escaped, and the ending to it... there's no words but it dosen't need them... It's still that good, that.... powerful. You must at least rent this game (it's only about 3 hours when you know what you're doing, took me 9 while I tried to figure some things out...). EDIT: Yes, I'm an idiot. But now there's no proof. ;D

Yeah, it's been dubbed the '#1 sleeper hit of all time'. They didn't expect lots of sales but outdid there expectations (after word of mouth got out about the game). The reason I think it didn't do even better is cause most gamers are 'twitchers', in other words, they have to be pushing a button every few seconds or they get bored. Then there's the gamers that hate to think, which you need to do to get through this game.
Anyway, yeah, I can't believe none of you have played this! It's... it's a tavesty!

I like games where I have to think. It's partly the reason Lufia 2 is one of my favorite RPGs (Only ones better are some Final Fantasies and Chrono Trigger).

Hmm, Sword of Mana is out on GBA. But that's a new game, just using the same world (Towns and monsters are the same) as Secret of Mana, or something.
Secret of Mana on the SNES was a great game, but it kept crashing on me. I beat it despite the horrible magic system (I never liked the Mana Magic systems...) and the crashing.
I have Sword of Mana for GBA. Good game, even though I don't like the Magic system (All Mana games have a similar system for magic, I think). Still haven't beaten it, because I'm currently playing through FFTA.
I'm glad you like Chrono Trigger. I thought it was the best game of all time too, until beating Tactics. Right now, I'm not sure which I like better.

Hey Dayspring, apparently you didn't vote in Gamefaq's 'Best. Game. Ever' contest. FF7 Won.

Maybe I should draw DBZ all chibi-ish... It wouldn't take so long and it'd be alot easier. And it would look better than stick figures. o___o

Beat it. My party was awesome, but it's hard to know what you want for a party your first time through. My party had every secret character, and I had mastered everything I needed after a lot of time.
Don't remember my stats. I had my party ideas on paper, but I tossed it when I beat the game. Doing the same thing with FFTA, actually, so I've currently got around 4 or 5 pages on that. ^^
