I have a question regarding Naruto, though I ask that you don't go as far as making spoilers. Does Sakura actually do anything later on? And I mean something useful other than explaining something, or being a whining Sasuke groupie.

She REALLY holds her own in the Chuunin exam as of when they battle the Hidden Sound genin. Then EVERYTHING turns into Naruto focussing, and when it happens that he manages to surpass Sasuke, Sasuke goes nuts and it turns into Sasuke focussing. Then we get a good full volume or two that focusses HEAVILY on the guys of the 12 Leaf Genin (minus Sasuke). Now the manga is doing a FULL explanation of Sasuke's past and what happened the Uchiha clan before Sasuke fights Naruto.

Well she does finally realize that the whole time she's been running after Sasuke, she's allowed herself to be left behind skill and strength-wise. She then kind of has an epiphany, if you can call it that in one of the later episodes, I think somewhere around episode 34 as Dayspring already said during the battle with the ninjas from Hidden Sound. And she then resolves to change and she gets a little stronger and less like her "Sasuke-you're-so-great-and-I-live-to-worship-you" self. Which is good, because when Naruto first started, I didn't like Sakura very much for that very reason and for the way she treated Naruto. She sort of realizes finally what a flit she's been and gets better.

Anybody else feel Tsunade's going to be her mentor? Sasuke's got Orochimaru, Naruto's got Jiraiya, Sakura's got nobody and Tsuande's not mentoring anybody. It'd be funny if one day out of the blue Sakura started summoning giant slugs.

That would be really neat actually. Plus they're all from the same group. Just like Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are from the same group. Who here thinks that the 4th Hokage is Naruto's father?

Me! Have you SEEN the 4th's face? Holy shit! He looks like Naruto+20 years if he was a week late to get his hair cut! Plus it would explain why he would seal Kyuubi into him: he probably knew through some father/son bond-link thingy that Naruto could hold him in.

Well, Dayspring sort of summed up what I was going to say about why Naruto is probably the 4th Hokage's son, except for the haircut evidence. So I'll just say that ya, I think so too. ^_^ Dayspring, what's your opinion on Sasuke's sexual orientation? A friend of mine thinks that he's gay, since he shows no interest in any girls, period. I mentioned though that he's just very focused on killing his brother and doesn't have time for anything like that. She still thinks there might be more there though.

They're connected.
The attack used to kill the Nine Tails Demon is an attack that summons the god of death, who extracts the soul from the body, at the cost of the user's soul as well. Normally, it would just kill the target, but the Fourth chose to reincarnate himself with the demon's power sealed in him.
Later, Naruto starts using the Fourth's attacks as well. It's about then that you really see the connection. I can't see how they could be father and son, though.
What isn't bolded hasn't been officially said, so I don't consider it to be a spoiler. The bolded text doesn't contain any backgrounds, history, or heavy spoilers, by my opinion. It does seem like the only logical conclusion, to me.
I could talk about my opinion for Sakura, but I can't really do it without spoiling anything. Sorry...

Damn right I won't take it litterally: Kyuubi's still alive! We KNOW he's sealed inside Naruto! I always figured after a huge-assed battle he got desperate and sealed Kyuubi inside Naruto, which caused him to use up all his chakra to the point that he died (since the battle used up the rest of his chakra). Also, Naruto HAS learned some of the 4th's techniques: 1) Kage Bunshin no jutsu 2) Summoning no jutso (of the 00ber frog he fought Gaara with. The only other person to summon that particular frog was the 4th) 3) Rasengan

Uhh... you're basically just agreeing with everything Zacko said, yet formulating it in such a way it sounds as if you're disagreeing with him.
And no, I will not question Sasuke's sexuality. Doing such a thing borders on extreme fangirlish behaviour.
The guy's 12 years old, for chrissakes.

They're 12? I thought they were 14. My memory's going. And questioning Sasuke's personality is not "bordering on fangirlish behaviour", I'm just mentioning an opinion I've heard and wanting to know what others think of the that opinion. It's called "discussing different views".

Not if it concerns 12 year olds. And if, on top of that, it's a Shonen manga. Shonen manga are quite usually pretty obvious about sexual orientations, and even so, romance is never the highlight of a Shonen series.
And yes, they are 12. Everyone in Naruto's year is, even though that makes no sense whatsoever because Naruto is supposed to have failed the exam several times, but whatever...

I would think over a year has passed since the start of the series.
We can be sure the attack kills the user, no matter how much chakra he has, because it's exactly what the Third says when using it, and he tells us it's the exact same attack. The way to cheat it is by making a clone use the technique. ;D
Of course, if you don't have enough chakra to use kage bunshin, you can't cheat...

I read "What's bolded hasn't been officially said" when Zacko really wrote "What isn't bolded hasn't been officially said". And drop the "OMG you're sick they're only 12" crap. She said she thought they were all at least 14.

It's okay Dayspring, 14 isn't much older really. He has a point.
