Dragonball Alpha

Cell Jr Saga

Chapter 1

Many years have passed since the battle with the evil Kid Buu. 10 years to be exact. Much has changed on earth during this time of peace. Goku has spent most of the time training his young student Uub.

Gohan and Videl have been enjoying the time with their daughter Pan. Pan has been training with her father. Something her mother does not like. Gohan though sees her training as a must as he has learned time and time again , Peace does not last forever.

Goten is grown up now and has a son of his own. His son may still be a baby but has a striking resemblance to Goten’s father Goku. In fact that is why Goten has named him Goku Jr. Goku Jr seems a peaceful , easy going child just like his father was and his father before him.

Vegeta on the other hand has taken the time to train constantly. Even though Goku is not around much , Vegeta still feel’s the need to prove he can be stronger than his rival and his best friend (though he’ll never admit it.)

Vegeta’s daughter Bulla is now a teenager. Unlike her brother she does not feel the need to embrace her Saiyan heritage. She is however very much like her mother Bulma. By this of course , I mean instead of reaching her full fighting power like her father , She prefers trying to reach the limit of her parents credit cards.

Trunks is a father too. Like his friend Goten , His son has a striking resemblance to his father. He chose to name his child Vegeta Jr. Vegeta Jr seems very influenced by his grandfather. Instead of crying like most babies he chooses to keep it bottled up.

Piccolo has a new student himself. He has been training Dende in the art of fighting. Dende has come along nicely and could possibly hold his own in a fight with a Super Saiyan. This makes Piccolo very proud. Not only as trainer but also the part of him that use to be Nail , The part that seen Dende from birth all the way up to a powerful guardian of earth.

As for Hercule Satan , He is retired now as the champion of earth. He now runs “Mr Satan’s Martial Arts school for champions.” With the new Champion of earth Krillin. Krillin was given the title champion of the earth by Hercule himself. At first Krillin was not going to accept it but his wife 18 , Told him to do it to get more money for the two of them and their daughter Marron.

And so this story begins with Trunks and his sister at the local mall. “Come on Bulla , I need to get back to train with Father. You know how gets if I’m late.” Trunks said holding at least 10 bags of shopping.

“Father will understand. A 90% off sale is more important than training.” Bulla looking at a dress through the window of one of the shops.

“Have you met Father?” Trunks asked her. He was looking shocked that she would even think that , Let alone say it.
While they were shopping near by in Mr Satan’s Martial Arts school of champions. “Hey , Krillin. Now that you’re a big shot champion of the earth. Do you still have time to hang out with your friends?” A familiar voice said.

Krillin turned around to see , Yamcha , Tien and Chiaotzu , Standing in the entrance. “Hey , I’ve not seen you guys in awhile. What have you been up to.” Krillin asked them.

“Just training now day’s. It’s hard you know , Goku is never round , Bulma is always either working or spending time with her family. Even Piccolo and you are busy now days. It’s like after the cell games everyone just forgot us.” Yamcha told him.

“Yeah everything has changed from back in the days when we thought Goku was just a weird little kid with a tail. The second he learned he was a Saiyan we could never keep up.” Krillin responded.

“Look over there. Is that Trunks?” Tien said pointing across the road to the Mall. There was Trunks outside carrying bags to his car.

“TRUNKS.” Krillin shouted. Trunks looked up and started to wave to old friend. Krillin always felt old seeing the son’s of his friends all grown up.

A big blue ki blast came shooting down. The blast exploded Trunks’s car and hit Trunks in the process. The others looked on in shock as the smoke cleared Trunk’s was lying on the floor not moving.

When the rest of the smoke had cleared they saw a frightening and familiar figure. “C…C…Cell!!!!” Yamcha said in shock as he saw a villain from his past. The figured looked at Yamcha.

“I’m Cell Jr you idiot.” The figure told him. Krillin ran at Cell Jr as fast as he could. He jumped up in the air and kicked the side of his head. Cell Jr was uneffected. He turned and looked at Krillin. Cell Jr punched Krillin once in the chest.

Krillin flew backwards crashing through the wall of his school. The others got in to fighting poses ready to fight him. “I wouldn’t think about it if I was you. You stand no chance of even hurting me.” Cell Jr. Told them.

“TRUNKS! ……. You monster!” Bulla cried as she left the mall seeing her brother lying on the floor. She ran and started punching Cell Jr. He grabbed her by the neck. Lifting her off the floor. The others were to scared to react.

“Tell Gohan to meet me in the spot where he murdered my father. If he does not show in 24 hours I’ll kill her and many more. I don’t want to hurt anyone but if he does not show he’ll leave me no choice.” Cell Jr told them flying off with Bulla.

“I’ll go and get Gohan. Chiaotzu look after Krillin , Yamcha you should go and tell Vegeta and Bulma what’s going on.” Tien told them as he took off into the air to go and find Gohan.

“Tell Vegeta …… Tell Vegeta I did nothing when his son was injured and his daughter was kidnapped. *Gulp* “Yamcha said looking worried.

Chapter 2

“How come we had to finish our training early Master Goku?” Uub asked his mentor as they both stepped out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Their clothes were ripped and damaged. They looked ready to collapse.

“Do you not sense that?” Goku asked his young student. Uub shook his head. “There is a huge , Evil , power level coming from the earth. “ Goku told them as they walked out on to the lookout.

Piccolo was training Dende and overheard them talking. “You sense it too Goku.” Piccolo said sounding concerned as he stopped his training.

“How bad is it?” Dende asked feeling nervous in case he was asked to join in this fight.

“This power level , It makes Buu look a weakling.” Piccolo responded. His words made Dende look on in terror.

“How ….. How is that even possible? When Buu was defeated , Only the good were brought back.” Dende asked them. Goku and Piccolo looked at each other. They knew this fight was going to be tough.

“I think we need to take a Senzu Bean. That way we can get there faster and at full power.” Uub Suggested.

“Good Idea. But first…” Piccolo said sticking out his hands. Goku’s Blue Gi (light blue for top with dark blue pants) , boots and orange wristbands were back in 100% condition.

“Wait.. Piccolo could you possibly give me an Orange Gi like I saw Goku wear in pictures?” Uub asked.

“Sure …..” . Piccolo said sticking out his hands once more. Uub was now wearing and Orange Gi that looked a lot like Goku’s old one but had a different logo on the back. “That logo is to show you were trained by Goku.” Piccolo explained.

At Capsule Corp. “You did nothing? EXPLAIN YOURSELF.” Vegeta shouted at Yamcha upon hearing the news. Trunks lay in the next room recovering from the blast given to him earlier.

“I….I…” Yamcha said frozen in terror at Vegeta’s rage.

“Out my way you idiot. Cell Jr. will pay for this.” Vegeta said. His hair began to grown. It turned blonde as it reached down his back . His eyebrows disappeared. Lightning now surrounded his body.

“Vegeta you’re a Super Saiyan 3?” Yamcha said in shock seeing Vegeta in his new form. Vegeta turned and looked at Yamcha. He had a look of anger on his face.

“I have trained non-stop for 10 years to become stronger than Kakarot. If he can go Super Saiyan 3 then so can I.” Vegeta explained as he flew off heading towards Cell Jr.

The Cell games ring had been recreated by Cell Jr. In the middle of the ring stood Cell Jr. holding Bulla by the arm. “Let me go. Please I’m just a girl don’t hurt me.” Bulla cried and wiggled to try and get free of the mighty Cell Jr. .

He looked down at her as she cried. “I won’t hurt you. I don’t want to hurt anyone except that murderer Gohan” Cell Jr. told her.

“Then why did you hurt my brother and Krillin?” She asked him looking up at the tall reptilian , alien looking man who had her by the arm.

“Krillin attacked me. I was defending myself. As for your brother I would recognise him anywhere. He is the one who came back in time to tell the others about the androids. Had he of just left things alone then Gohan would not of killed my father.” He explained to her.

Cell Jr. let her arm go. “Run. Go somewhere safe. The battle is about to begin. “ He told her as he sensed Vegeta’s power level flying towards him at an incredible speed. Vegeta landed in the ring in front of Cell Jr.

“WHERE IS SHE.” Vegeta shouted punching Cell Jr. in the face. Cell Jr. flew backwards from the force of the punch but span around landing on his feet.

“She’s over there. She’s safe. I only want to fight Gohan. Step aside or you leave me no choice but to make Bulla witness her father’s destruction.” Cell Jr. Warned him sticking out his arms. He started powering up.

The force coming off him as he powered up was incredible and made it clear to Vegeta that he had no chance of winning. “You will not hurt Kakarot’s son as long as I am around.” Vegeta said powering up himself.

Even at full power his power level was much lower than Cell Jr.’s. Vegeta stuck out his hands creating ki energy in both hands. “Final …. Flash!” Vegeta said bringing his hands together to create a powerful stream of energy.

Cell Jr. knocked it away with hand as if it was nothing. “I warned you” He told Vegeta. As if instantly Cell Jr. appeared in front of Vegeta punching him in the chest. Vegeta flew backwards landing on his back on the floor.

Cell Jr. cupped his hands together forming a Ki ball as he did it. “Kame…ha…me..ha!” He said brining his hands forward to release a large blast of energy. The energy hit Vegeta forming a crater.

To Cell Jr.’s surprise Vegeta stood back up. He looked badly hurt but his pride was stronger than any Ki blasts. “Special Beam Cannon.” Piccolo’s voice said. Out of no where a condensed beam of Ki energy hit Cell Jr. going through his chest,

Vegeta looked around and Goku , Piccolo and Dende had landed on the ground next to him. “Vegeta I need your help on this one. The Fusion Dance. It’s our only hope.” Goku told him.

“Dance? I’m a warrior not a ballet dancer. Besides I would rather die than be fused with you Kakarot. That time we fused to face Buu was the only time. Besides that time didn’t evolve dancing around like a woman.” Vegeta said arrogantly.
Cell Jr.’s chest was healing. “Please Vegeta hurry.” Goku begged. Vegeta could tell this was serious by the look in Goku’s eyes.

“Fine Kakarot but tell anyone about this and I’ll Kill you.” Vegeta said agreeing to do the The Fusion Dance. The question was however would they be able to do it in time? Find out on the next chapter of Dragonball Alpha!

Interesting concept... and nice way to apply most of the cast without stretching things too much.

Your writing isn't overly vivid, but that seems to work out here, since we pretty well know the majority of what things are like, and the events and characters get the frontline. 'course we get some shallowness in some people, but it's only been two chapters, filler-free, so time will tell on that front.

Then of course there are things like, "Where is Gohan, anyway?", and "fusion rehash", and a couple speech oddities (Goku and Uub seem ever so slightly off), but you've managed to make it interesting and to the point with minimal spelling/grammar errors (none that I remembered, anyway. ), so yay!

*makes up a rating system* Umm... so far ... Story around 3.5/5 (I'm tempted to go to 4, but I'll show restraint for now). Imagery probably <1(though as I said earlier, the story doesn't really rely on imagery so much as execution), characterization... so far, I'd say the 1-2 range, but we've just started. So I'd imagine that some things will improve with time and others will... umm... probably not (some classic fanboy elements are apparent... but I like the concept too much to complain yet. ^^).

Chapter 3

“Makosen” Dende shouted. Gathering Ki into both of his arms, He then fired a blast from each one after the other. The blasts hit Cell Jr. moving him back a little. Dende was determined to allow the fusion to happen

"Fu….." Goku and Vegeta said at the same time starting the Fusion dance. Cell Jr. Teleported behind them and blasted Goku in the back of the head.

“I don’t think I’ll risk that.” Cell Jr. told them as Goku fell the floor. Dende put his first two fingers on his forehead , Charing up ki. While Dende was charging the energy Piccolo flew towards Cell Jr.

Piccolo started a combo of punches and kicks. Cell Jr. punched him hard in the face. Piccolo fell backwards landing on his back. His nose was covered in blood from the force of the impact. “I’ve told you all , You stand no chance of victory. Give up while you still can. The next one to attack will be killed.” Cell Jr. warned them.

“Special Beam Cannon” Dende shouted releasing he energy he had just saved up. Cell Jr. teleported out of the way landing behind Dende. He grabbed Dende by the head throwing him up in the air.

“Destructo Disk” Cell Jr. Shouted creating a flat, circular plane of energy. He threw it up at Dende cutting him in half. Dende’s body came down to floor landing in to separate areas. His top half lay by the ring. His bottom half lay near Cell Jr’s feet.

“Dende … NOOOOOOOO.” Piccolo shouted. In rage Piccolo fire ki after ki after ki at Cell Jr. until he had used up all his energy. Cell Jr. was still standing. He moved his hand lifting Piccolo into the air.

“My father passed this move on to me from Freiza him self.” Cell Jr. told them as he exploded Piccolo in the same way Freiza did to Krillin on Namek , just before Goku whent super Saiyan for the first time.

“Fu…sion…ha” Goku and Vegeta shouted at the same time. Cell Jr. Turned around to see their index fingers touching. A bright light came off them. They had completed the Fusion dance. The light disappeared.

Standing where Vegeta and Goku had been was a man in white pants and what looked like a black and orange open jacket . "I am neither Goku nor Vegeta , I am the one to defeat you. I am Gogeta." The new fighter said. When he spoke he had the voice of Goku and of Vegeta at the same time.

Gogeta stuck out his hand and shouted as he powered up. His blonde super Saiyan started to extend. His eyebrows started to disappear and like with Vegeta’s transformation earlier lightning surrounded him. Gogeta was a Super Saiyan 3.

“Why do you people insist on tormenting me?” Cell Jr. spoke as he started to walk over to Gogeta. Gogeta had his arms crossed smirking at Cell Jr. He was confident that could beat him.

Gogeta suddenly flew forwards sending multiple punches in to the monstrous Cell Jr.’s chest. Cell Jr. flew backwards landing on the floor. “Wow looks little Cell Jr. is just as pathetic as daddy dearest. You really are a chip of the old block” Gogeta laughed walking towards him.

Cell Jr. got to his feet. “Seems I underestimated you. I will not be making that mistake again.” He said sticking out his fists and letting out a huge scream. His power level was rising. Cell Jr.’s muscles seemed to increase a bit and lightning now surrounded him.

While that battle wages on Tien found Gohan. Gohan had been in the city with his wife and daughter. “Gohan … at last I’ve found you.” Tien said as he landed next to him. Gohan turned to see Tien looked scared.

“What’s wrong Tien?” Gohan asked. Tien explained everything he knew. Videl looked at Gohan to let him know she understood what he had to do. Gohan flew off heading towards the area he destroyed Cell.

Back at the fight. Gogeta stuck out his hands ready to unleash his ultimate attack “Big Bang Kame…ha…” He was interrupted by Cell Jr. Teleporting behind him. Cell Jr. had his hands together as he whacked Gogeta from behind.

Gogeta crashed down to floor below. “Death Ball” Cell Jr. said pointing his finger in the air. He formed a giant ball of red Ki. This was the same move Freiza had used to destroy the planet Namek.

He sent the ball flying towards Gogeta. Gogeta turned around at stuck out his hands to try and block it. The force was becoming toon much for Gogeta and was moving him back with a powerful strength.

“Wow , Cell Jr.’s power level. It’s unbelievable If I don’t get there soon I don’t think Gogeta will be able to survive. “ Gohan said to himself flying towards the battle. He could sense that his father had fused with Vegeta.

“That’s weird I can’t sense ……… NOOOOOOOO Piccolo.” Gohan shouted tears forming in his eyes. Piccolo had trained Gohan at a very early age and in many ways Gohan saw him as more than just a mentor.

He was his friend and also like a second father to him. Gohan could feel the rage boiling up inside him. “CELL JR. YOU’LL PAY FOR THIS.” Gohan said powering up to his full power the Elder Kai had unleashed during the Buu Nightmare.

“Ah at last. It looks like Gohan is on his way here.” Cell Jr. laughed as he pushed the death ball harder and harder. He had proven he was more than a match for a Super Saiyan 3. Even one as strong as Gogeta.


Gohan was in sight and could see Gogeta trying to push the ball away. “Gohan witness your fathers death like I witnessed you kill mine.” Cell Jr. said putting more power behind the Death ball.

It was too much for Gogeta. The ball hit him ant the ground exploding. “FATHER” Gohan screamed out. The explosion caused a giant hole to appear in the earth and when all the smoke had cleared every part of Gogeta had been destroyed.

Now the real fight was about to begin. Both fighters want to avenge the death of their fathers. Both men are determined to win. But If Cell Jr. could destroy Super Saiyan 3 Gogeta , Does Gohan stand a chance? Find out in the next chapter of Dragonball Alpha!
